InterResolve Secures Two Liability Insurers
Claims resolution specialist adds Allianz and Fortis to their stable
InterResolve, the independent claims resolution specialist, announced
that a further two leading liability insurers, Allianz Insurance and Fortis
Insurance, have joined InterResolves personal injury claims solution.
Both insurers will run UK-wide pilots of InterResolves Bodily Injury
Claims Scheme (IR:BICS), providing claimants with access to
independent legal advice without the need to retain law firms in simple
claims.
Allianz and Fortis will use InterResolve to resolve new claims notified
through members of LawAlliance, the claimant lawyer network set up
specifically for the scheme to provide independent legal advice and,
where appropriate, representation for claimants. This may be
extended to claims notified directly to the insurers where appropriate.
Certain legacy claims, where settlement has been delayed because of
liability issues, will also be processed through IR:BICS. LawAlliance
will provide independent legal advice with agreed price legal
representation for more complex claims.
Commenting on the further growth in support for the scheme, Peter
Ashdown-Barr, CEO of InterResolve, said: The InterResolve scheme has
been developed to deliver tangible cost and time savings in the
settlement of injury claims. We will be working closely with Allianz and
Fortis to achieve these benefits for them.
Both insurers are key partners in the continuing development, not just
in the processing of claims through the scheme but also in our wider
plans to launch an innovative consumer claim capture process later
this year.
Bob Rabbitts, technical claims manager for Allianz said: Our ability to
deliver a fast and cost effective claims service is crucial. This scheme
is forward thinking and we will be very interested to see the results
that Inter Resolve can achieve.
