Telephone mediation scheme launched (Legal and General)

A new telephone mediation scheme for unresolved personal injury claims has been launched by InterResolve. The launch comes after a pilot scheme with AXA Insurance, in which it is claimed 50 cases had their settlement times reduced from 18 months to seven weeks. InterResolve said the pilot had a settlement rate of 88 per cent and an uptake of 85 per cent from claimant lawyers, despite being used across a range of claim values.
